Truly a work of art, our Kantha silk wrap belongs as much in a museum as it does being worn. The traditional Kantha stitch embroidery fills this wrap, taking 1 month of handwork. Tiny running stitches in a soft neutral tone create intricate motifs and borders. Created in West Bengal, this traditional technique of embroidery is created on the lap rather than being stretched into a frame. Super long, the lightweight silk is given weight by the embroidery while still allowing it to be fine enough to wrap around and knot at your neck for warmth. Silk is a natural insulator and as such this wrap will keep you warm in the winter and coll in the summer making this a perfect trans-seasonal piece.
