In 2000, Megan's collection of scarves were eponymous worldwide for their artisanal hand work and were celebrated accordingly. Working with kurigers ( embroiderers ) who were the most skilled in their profession, Megan built the signature of her brand forging their skills with her design aesthetic. The scarf was seen as a perfect canvas to showcase their refined handwork. This scarf is representative of that time. Upon a dark khaki silk georgette, intricate multi-colored beadwork creates the elaborate borders as inspired by a Romany gypsy cloak found at Porte de Clignancourt in Paris. Lime beadwork fringes finish the piece. A truly wearable work of art.
