FRAGILE VICTORIAN BEADWORKS TO THE ICONIC BIBA

By Megan Park

Autumn Winter | 2007

Winter 2007 was a collection of romanticism. I was inspired by fragile Victorian beadworks collected from Portabello Road. Such treasures are eternally beautiful - they transcend seasons. I have always tried to design what I feel is timeless and intrinsically beautiful rather than the trend of the moment which will be passé in a season to come.

Spring Summer | 2008

When the talents of a great stylist, photographer, model and location come wham-bam together - I just love this shoot. Moving away from the romanticism of the season prior, this collection was bold and confident. Tribal yet with a touch of the '70s it seemed to speak to the fashionista, the collector and the new tribe being introduced to MP. Oversized and layered jewels of hand-crafted resin amplified the boho vibe which was inspired by the sentiment of the iconic Biba.
